Tuff Dogs sink Sea Venture with late rally

After watching their men's team lose to Sea Venture the night before, Tuff Dogs's co-ed squad exacted some revenge as they beat SVOS 18 to 15.

Sea Venture was trailing by two runs in the seventh and loaded the bases with no one out and couldn't score a run as two batters hit the ball out of the park, which turned into outs because they had exceeded their home run allotment,

The Dogs were in control early and it looked like the game might turn into a rout with them up 12-0 going into the bottom of the fourth, but SVOS scored six in the fourth and eight in the fifth to make this a game again.

Tracey Bean (2-4, HR 4 RBI), McLaren Lowe (3-4, 3 RBI) and Preston Mallory (2-4, HR 3 RBI) were Sea Venture's top hitters. Leading the way for Tuff Dogs were Jermaine Jeffers (4-4), Ryan Calhoun (3-5) and Steve O'Flynn (3-5).

Island Construction 7, AF Smith 0

AF Smith couldn't field a team and defaulted to Island Construction.
