Tuff Dogs favourites as softball season set to begin
The Commercial Softball League season is set to begin on March 14 at the revamped Michael Preece Stadium.
The CSL will have three co-ed divisions, but the number of teams has decreased from 19 to 17.
Docksiders Tuff Dogs will be the favourites for the A Division with The Outback and Bermuda Pest Control also returning from last year’s playoff quartet.
Precision Cabling Panthers and Rosa’s Cantina Banditos round out the Division.
Scared Hitless are the defending B Division champs. TBI High Speeders will challenge them for the top spot. The rest of the division includes Bermuda Water Tours, Warriors, Bermuda Blueprinting and KPMG. Both Bermuda Water Tours and KPMG are moving up from the C Division. KPMG swept through the league play without a loss in 2010.
The C Division is wide open with BNY Juggernauts and CITI returning. CedarBridge Academy, Young Men’s Social Club, PWC and Deloitte & Touche should contend for playoff spots.
There are four teams in the Men’s Division and there is still hope that the Women’s Division will return.
