It's almost the perfect script - Clementine Keyes, Tyler Smith and Christopher Rego will all be playing for a trophy today in the Under-13 Caribbean Championships in Trinidad.

The only way it could have been better if Keyes and Smith were facing off in the final against each other, but all in all it's a great testament to Bermuda's tennis programme.

Keyes, 12, and Smith, 12, also made the doubles final.

Smith will take on Barbados Melena Lopez in the Girls Open draw while Keyes will face off against Lopez' Bajan compatriot Joelle Hall.

Rego plays Joel Lutchen if Suriname in the Boys Open draw.

Under-13 national coach, Brent Smith, was thrilled with the results so far.

"They've been stellar," Smith said. "They have been excellent. Tyler had a nailbiter in her semi-final match against the defending champion."

Smith won 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.

Rego had to deal with Ty Abraham of Trinidad in his semi. "Ty had the whole Trinidad crowd behind him, but Christopher was able to overcome that to win 6-3, 6-2." n
