Bean replaces Greg Carey at the top spot.
Amy Renton and Sophia Burch were elected treasurer and secretary respectively.
Paulo Arruda is the SSL scheduler while Don Burgess was elected as media relations officer. Julia Sousa of EZ Grls was elected women’s rep.
Softball signups
The Summer Softball season is tentatively scheduled to start in July.
Any new co-ed and women’s teams are encouraged to contact Paulo Arruda at Sound Stage by dropping in or calling him at 541-6161.
The league encourages anyone interested in signing up a new team to do so as play is spread across three divisions so squads face roughly the same level of competition. People who don’t have a team, but would like to play should contact Arruda, who will help find a team for them.
Games are normally held Tuesday through Friday nights at Bernard Park.
Registration is due by July 12 with the season slated to begin on July 19.
Men’s League
Player registration forms are available at the Sound Stage at Washington Mall.
The cost is $50 per person. Every player is required to get in at least four innings per game they show up to play.
The men’s draft will take place on July 8 at the Robin Hood with league play slated to start on July 12. Last season saw the introduction of a men’s draft with much success as all four teams had a chance to win the league on the final night of play.
