TLC gets the best of Pin Snipers

TLC tripped up league leaders Pin Snipers, when they beat them 6-3 in the East End League at Southside Bowl.

John Simons had the most consistent night amongst the top bowlers as he used a 195 game for his 533 series, but it was Elliot Douglas (213) and Alfred Wright (555) who had high game and series honours. Matthew Vinney's 196 was the second best game while Dennis Trott had a 526 series.

Hazel Lodge (182) and Rita Smith (474) had the high game and series amongst the ladies with Jennifer Butterfield (182), Carolyn Welch (180, 466) and Sandra Ford (473) also rolling well at Southside.

Scores: Ten Pins 2, Fire Balls 7; Up-N-Coming 3, Trailblazers 6; Pin Snipers 3, TLC 6; See-Breeze Strikers 3, Spare Collectors 6; Habetes 3.5, Here We Come 5.5.

Ladies Classic

Carla Whitehurst led all women with a 235 game and 620 series. Rochelle Harvey almost matched Whitehurst for high game with a 233 and had the second high series with a 549. Kathy Christopher used a 220 game for her 540 series.

Scores: Upstarts 15, Fresh Blood 5; Classy Ladies 8.5, Lucky Strikes 11.5; Strike Zone 18, Changes 2; Pacesetters 4, Hot Tamales 16.

Freisenbruch-Meyer Continental

Pinjammers increased their lead with a 26 to 4 victory over Bermuda Pest Control. There were plenty of 200s to go around with Stephen Paul's 263 topping all bowlers. Michael Lambe (235) and Hilton Hayward (231) were the second and third high men with Kennisha (206), Kathy Christopher (201) and Karen Simmons (200) showing the women how it's done.

High scratch series honours went to Stephen Paul (633) and Kennisha Simmons (533). Other good scores were achieved by Pat Price (518), Winnette Wellington (497), Michael Lambe (617), Clem Lespere (585).

Scores: Pinjammerrs 26, Bermuda Pest Control 4; Quickie Lickie Laundry 25, Cubs 5; The Invaders 22, Pinsplitters 8; Spicenix 19, New Hope 11; Odd Balls 17, Nifty Rollers 13.

Barritt's League

Donald Dane's 232 was the best game bowled with Jermaine DeSilva's 224, not too far behind. Neville Cann rolled a 216 for the third high score.
