Team Zone power their way out of last with 19-1 win

With a 19 to 1 victory over Team Zone, the Dream Team has hauled themselves out of last place in the Perfect Storm League. JJ Smith had a 194 game and 567 series as he helped his team to the triumph. Miriam Caisey had a 180 game for Team Zone in the losing effort.

Top team Razorblades had little difficulty in beating Spare Collectors 12.5 to 7.5. Tanya Minors had one of her best nights of the season with a 219 game and 495 series. Teammate Graeme Furbert led all men with a 203 game and 582 series.

The league's other contest saw Top Riders close the gap on third place X-Em Out with a 13-7 win. A.J. Hayward and Glorita Hayward led the way with a 502 and 484 series respectively. Maryellen Jackson rolled a 505 series (191 game) for X-Em Out.

There will be a good battle for third place in the closing weeks of the season as just nine points separates third through sixth places.

Bowling League

King Pins and BTC kept pace with each as they both won 3-1 this week. King Pins beat bottom club Sweet Life while BTC set down contenders Do It Best Masters.

Other scores saw both Strikers and Braves win 4-0. Strikers had little trouble with Double Trouble while the Braves whitewashed the Royal Gazette. Sunset beat Spinners 3-1.

Kennelyn Smith rolled a 202 to lead all women. Doreen Smith (196) barely missed a 200 and Sharon DeShields rolled a 176. Doreen Smith led all women with a 633 handicap series while Lana Hollis (629) edged Nicole Pearman for second high honours.

Wayne Raynor had a good night with a 233 game and 643 handicap series. Michael Richardson led all men with a 655 handicap series.

Starting O ver downed Top Guns 14 to 6 to increase their lead to more than 50 games. Last Minute doubled up Produce 12 to 6 and late Rollers beat Missing In Action 11 to 7.

George Ben led all bowlers with a 233 game and 562 series. Woody Jones (210, 531), Vernon Daniels (193) and Peter Winsby (507) also rolled well.

Lynn Gilbert was the top lady with a 192 game as a foundation for her 522 series. Barbara Robinson (183, 491) and Aretha Smith (180, 473) had second and third high honours.
