Symonds has Masters whistling Dixie

Do It best Masters pulled into a tie for first in the Commercial Bowling League with a 4-0 blanking of the Royal Gazette. BTC fell into that tie with a 3-1 loss to Spinners.

Other scores saw King Pins whitewash Braves; Sunset take four points from Double Trouble and Strikers Beat Sweet Life 3-1.

Shirieka Shakir rolled a 200 game to top all women. Marilyn Simmons (189) and Earleen DeSilva (170) had the next highest games. Simmons had the high handicap series with a 654, barely edging Shakir's 647. Brenda Jean Smith rolled a 568.

Robert 'Dixie' Symonds was the star for Do It Best with a 223 game and 620 series. Ronnie Dimapilis (219) and Chris Smith (212) also topped the 200 mark. Dimapilis rolled a 568 series while Maurice Lowe took third high honours with a 553.

Bericton Trios League

Starting Over silenced Top Guns with a 16 to 2 victory. That win coupled with second place club Last Minute losing, allowed Starting Over to increase its lead to nearly 14 points.

Produce doubled up Last Minute 12 to 6 while Last Rollers hammered Missing in Action 16 to 2.

George Ben rolled a 218 game and 596 series to lead all men. Vernon Daniels had the second high game and series for men with a 190 and 526 while David Maycock had third high honours with a 182 and 520.

Roslyn Simmons had the top game for a woman with a 201, but Bobbie Ingham had the high series with a 535. Ingham's best game was a 191. Simmons rolled a 496 series. Barbara Robinson rolled a 192 game on her way to a 490 series.
