Ms Jackson, who works for HSBC, will represent Constituency 20, Southampton East Central.
Health Minister Zane DeSilva currently holds the seat.
Speaking at a press conference at the UBP’s headquarters, Ms Jackson said: “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve the community in a greater capacity.
“I am really committed to work tirelessly to bring about positive results. I bring 48 years’ life experience to the table. Thirty of which I have spent working in communications.”
She continued: “I come from a background of Jacksons. I’m a fourth generation Jackson, who have been committed to public service in Bermuda.”
He father is the late Albert Jackson who served in the Senate for 12 years, and her great-great grandfather was the second black Bermudian elected to Parliament.
Ms Jackson added: “I stand with the UBP because I believe together we can move this country forward.”
