Street lights to be repaired
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26: BELCO today announced new materials have arrived to install and maintain light bulbs around the island that haven’t been working.
A spokesman said the company has had numerous enquiries in recent months about street lights that are not working.
A press statement said BELCO has a contract with government to install bulbs and to maintain the street light bulbs that are supplied by the Ministry of Public Works.
Public Works is responsible for supplying all required materials needed to ensure that street lights work correctly.
Recently, there has been a delay in getting the materials to Bermuda.
A shipment of new materials has arrived and BELCO crews are currently addressing outstanding maintenance requests.
Inquiries about street lighting can be directed either to Public Works at 297-7989 or to BELCO at 295-5111 or [email protected].[[In-content Ad]]
