Starting Over snags big win

Starting Over rolled to an easy 17 to 1 triumph in the Bericoton Imports Trio League. Second place Top Guns beat Last Minute 14 to 4 and late Rollers slipped past Produce 10 to 8.

Peter Winsby led all bowlers with a 202 game while Vernon Daniels barely missed the 200 mark by one pin. Michelle Simons was the top woman with a 188 while Josie Richardson (182) and Barbara Robinson (170) rounded out the top three.

Standings: 1. Starting Over 272.5-123.5; 2. Top Guns 246-150; 3. Last Minute 204-192; 4. Late Rollers 203-187; 5. Produce 200.5-186.5; 6. Missing In Action 62-334.

Mixed Majors Bowling League

Troublemakers bid to win took a huge stumble when Minimax Forwarders took them down 12 to 8. That coupled with front-runners Mix-Ups commanding 18 to 2 victory over Strike Force.

Other scores: Activators 17, Try Hards 3; Fight Back 15, Untouchables 5; True Mix 14, Movers N Shakers 6; Strikers 14, Gang in Blue 6.

Renalda Bean had a 234 game as the foundation for his 636 series. Carl Reid also topped 600 with a 606 and rolled a 222 game. Lucky Pitcher had a 218 game while Wayne Kelly had a 585 series.

Traci Lambe had the high series for a woman with a 232 but it was Patrice Tucker with series honours with a 577. Brend Burrows (226) and Laura Simons (222) also topped 200. Millicent Francis (532) and Olivette Armstrong (527) also had good nights.

Barritt's League

Sinclair Samuels edged Miles Smith by one pin for top game honours when he bowled a 266. Delmont Tucker (211) also had a 200.

Southside Two doubled up Sparks 20 to 10 while stablemate Southside One fell to Pembroke Juniors 26 to 4. Other scores saw PHC win 24 to 6; Logic Rollers down Young Bloods 21 to 9; and Buy & Sell beat Stash T 19 to 11.

Fishbowl

Barracuda moved into a tie for second with a 4-0 whitewash of Cow Pollies. The victory leaves them four points behind league leaders Marlins, who beat Dolphins 3-1. Second place Goldfish also won 3-1, beating Wahoo.

Richard Zuill (225), Peter Winsby (213), Wayne Robinson (210), Glawin Harvey (206) and John Thorne (205) all rolled 200s.

Piranhas was the only other team to take four points as they reeled in Snappers.

Other scores saw Flying Fish down Tuna 3-1; Mackerel beat Hammerheads 3-1; and Porgies take three points from Hinds.

Patrice Tucker rolled a 225 game and 613 handicap series. Sheila Easton rolled a 200 and Cathee Tumbridge had a 186.
