Starting Over about to clinch title
The 10-point victory left Last Minute roughly 70 points behind the leader with just five weeks to go.
Missing in Action pulled off the upset of the week when the bottom club downed Produce 14.5 to 3.5.
The night's other score saw Top Guns blast Late Rollers 17 to 1.
Vernon Daniels topped all bowlers with a 227 game. He was followed by David Cann (213) and Peter Winsby.
Cann had the top series with a 626, pushing Daniels into runner-up honours with a 558. Winsby was third again with a 533.
On the ladies side, Barbara Robinson led the way with a 180 game, barely edging Bobbie Ingham (179) and Vernette Ferguson (178). Ingham also had the top series with a 513. Josie Richardson was second with a 281 while Ferguson was third at 478.
