BEST 27, Red Laser 6

BEST used a 10-run first inning as it rolled to a five-inning mercy victory over Laser. Matthew Hayward (4-4) set the tone for this contest when he hit a three-run homer in the first for BEST. Three batters later shortstop Jay Simons (3-4) hit his own three-run shot.

Both Marco Almeida and A.J. Durham were 2-2 for Red Laser.

YMSC 16, CITI 17

In a game that ran out of time, CITI slipped past YMSC by a run in the bottom of the fourth. Trailing 16 to 15, Emily Cunningham drew a walk, then advanced to second on Antonio Frias' (2-4) single. That set the stage for Marc Weaver (2-2, 3 runs) to be the hero when he bounced a double to plate both runners.

No last names were filled out by the CITI manager on the lineup sheet to be credited their due.

YMSC 12, TPC 11

Clay Darrell (2-3) scored the winning run for Social Club as his team was outhit by Tuckers Point Club, but still managed the victory. Both Sakena Wall and Scott Darrell were 2-4 in the win with Darrell hitting a pair of doubles.

TPC's Jumaane Davis (2-3) had the lone homer in the game while teammate Owen Darrell was 3-4 in the leadoff spot.

Tuff Dogs 11, Sun Control 8

Sun Control had the pop, but the Dogs walked off the field with the victory. Steve Simons (3-5) had a pair of homers and Terence Corday (5-5) has a solo shot but that wasn't enough as the duo had as many hits as their Sun Control teammates.

Clutch hitting was the name of the game for Tuff Dogs as Justin Barritt (2-5), Paulo Arruda (2-4) and Ryan Outerbridge (3-4) all drove in two runs for the win.

Caceis 20, Police 20

Police advanced to the next round of the playoffs after Dennis Joell (4-5) knocked in Terry Paynter (4-6) for the go ahead run in the two-leg series. Earlier in the contest Joell blasted a two-run homer.

Jeff Jane (3-5) knocked in six RBI in the losing cause while teammate Monte Palsat (5-6) hit a three-run blast.

Sun Control 20, Panthers 9

Matthew Hayward flexed his muscle for Sun Control in this men's league game. Hayward (4-5) hit a three run homer in this game as Sun Control had little difficulty in getting past Panthers.

Nyon Steede (2-4) homered for Panthers.

Other scores: Red Laser 18, Social Club 14; Volcanic 24, The Beach 12; TPC 19, Social Club 0; Volcanic 17, The Becah 10; Police 25, Caceis 26; Tuff Dogs 27, Killer Goldfish 11.
