Snipers pin down another victory

Pin Snipers are beginning to assert their authority in the East End Bowling League. The team's lead is now 20 games after they defeated See-Breeze Strikers 8 to 1. Second place Habetes stumbled again as they fell 7 to 2 against TLC.

Trailblazers had a good showing with an 8 to 1 triumph over Here We Come.

Other scores saw Spare Collectors take six points off of Fireballs and Up-N-Coming edge Ten Pins 5 to 4.

There were plenty of 200s to go around as there were 10 games, which reached the magical mark. Tim Lodge led all bowlers with a 225, but he also had a 206 and totaled a 579 series.

Brion Estis had games of a 221 and 211 as part of his 596 series. Gerald Regis had the second high game with a 224. Derwin Smith (214), Quinton Hayward (210), Danny Ray (208), and Graeme Furbert (201) also rolled 200s. Furbert also rolled a 551 series.

Roslyn Simmons was the only woman with a 200 as she bowled a 211 game and 504 series. Maryell Jackson had the high series for a woman with a 526. She also bowled a 197 game. Joanne Wellman, 177 game and 501 series, also had a big game at the Southside Family Bowl.

Continental Bowling League

Nifty Rollers was able to gain on league leaders Pinjammers thanks to a resounding 25 to 5 victory over New Hope. Pinjammers were upset by Cubs 19 to 11. Other scores saw Spicenix defeat Odd Balls 23 to 7; Bermuda Pest Control down Quickie Lickie Laundry 23.5 to 6.5; and The Invaders down Pinsplitters 26.5 to 3.5.

Rochelle Harvey lit up the lanes with her 209 game and 577 series. Peaches Perinchief had the high game for a woman with a 219. June Dill used a 203 game as the foundation for her 522 series. Carla Whitehurst rolled a 535 series.

Mike Lamb led all men with a 226 game, but it was Woody Jones topping the series chart with a 567. Lambe finished with a 547 series - the same as Ivan Trott. Jones had a 222 game while Richie Richardson had a 207 game and 558 series.

Fishbowl League

Marlins increased their lead as they beat back a challenge from second place Goldfish. Marlins won the challenge 3-1. There were three whitewashes as Hammerheads wiped out Wahoo, Porgies took out Tuna and Dolphins reeled in Snappers.

The week's only draw was the Piranhas and Hinds match.

Other scores saw Barracuda beat Mackerel and Flying Fish downing Cow Pollies.
