Sea Venture muzzles Tuff Dogs
E&Y scored five in the seventh inning to add breathing room, as they earned a 21-13 win over Barracudas. Jeff Jane (4/6) slammed two homeruns, driving in eight runs for E&Y. Shannon Gosse (4/6, 3 RBI) put two over the fence in defeat.
Travel Connection Jets dropped Police by 22-15, plating nine runners in the fifth.
Jason Ming (3/4) hit a three-run homerun for Police. Tracey Bean (3/4) drove in four runs for the Jets, who managed to recover their composure after Dion Ball was ejected in the fifth inning.
Killer Goldfish opened with five runs en route to a 19-9 win over Bermy Lush Kiskadees. Matt Durrant collected five hits and drove in five. Jermaine Jeffers (4 RBI) homered in the loss.
Tuff Dogs overcame a slow start, scoring eight runs in the fourth inning to pass Castlewood for an 11-5 win.
Ryan Calhoun (5 RBI) homered twice, including a grand slam in the key inning. Wayne Newhook hit a two-run homerun to open the scoring.
Tuff Dogs followed up with a 12-7 win over ACE, scoring five in the final inning to settle the score. Steve O'Flynn (3/4, 3 RBI) homered twice in the win. Heath Kihn hit a three-run shot for ACE.
Castlewood kept their slim playoff hopes alive with a 12-4 win over Little E's. Lesley McKay doubled in two runs for Castlewood, while Barry Griffiths added three hits.
Chris Larkin (3/3, HR) drove in three for the E's.
Snowballs scored three times in the sixth inning to nail down an 11-7 win over White Mountains Re. Daniel Bordage (3/4, 2 RBI) homered to go along with two doubles. Art Palmer (3/4, 4 RBI) went deep to lead White Mountains.
BEST Shipping coughed up a four run lead in the seventh inning, setting the stage for a six-run outburst in the eighth to secure a narrow 19-17 win over E&Y.
Scott Doughty (3/4, HR) drove in three runs for BEST, while Richard Davidge (3 RBI) doubled home the game winners in the extra frame. Dale Brown (4/5) drove in three runners, including the tying run in the seventh inning. Mandy Palsat added four hits for E&Y.
