Robson, Corday homer for P&M
P&M Electri-Cute scored three runs in the sixth inning, and held out against a late rally for a thrilling 15-14 win over Comets. Stephanie Rego tripled in two runs in the sixth, and scored the eventual winning run on an error. Jasmine James doubled home two runners in the final inning to pull her team within a run. Angela French doubled twice and drove in two in the win.
P&M followed that game up with a 16-1 shelling of Swizzlin' Sluggers. Tina Robson and Charlene Corday both hit homeruns and drove in three runs, and Carla Zuill added three runs batted in. Jackie Nerlien drove in the lone run for Swizzlin.
Marsh scored eight runs in the fourth inning to pull out a 13-10 win over Southlands Swingers. Mike Fullen collected four hits and drove in three runs, and Eric Totten added a three-run homerun to seal the win for Marsh. Steven Simons homered twice and drove in four runs for Southlands.
ACE scored six runs in the sixth to edge BF&M Sharks by 12-11. Tina Robson drove in two runs and Abby Kermode brought home another to lead ACE. Donny Moniz homered and drove in four in the loss.
Olympia scored in every inning as they pounded Killer Goldfish by 19-10. Jeff Jane doubled twice and drove in five, while Scott Shannon contributed five hits to drive in four runs. Matt Durrant knocked in three runs in the loss.
BEST Shipping slugged out a 23-1 win over St. George's Ponys. Shawn Warman slammed two homeruns and two doubles to bring in nine runners for BEST. Robert Hudson singled twice and drove in the lone run in defeat.
BISYS broke through with five runs in the second inning to cool off Artic Airconditioning with a 13-4 victory. Sebastian Huot hit a two-run shot and Frances Ronan drove in a run for BISYS. Nick Rowse brought in a run for Arctic.
Argus scored twice in the seventh inning to slip by Aspen Insurance by 11-10. Tori Richard slammed two homeruns and drove in three for Argus. Dave Angove hit a grand slam for Aspen, who scored five runs in the sixth inning to take the short-lived lead.
Island Construction avoided an upset as they squeaked past AF Smith by 14-13. Dan Kidd drove in four runs for AF Smith, but was stranded at third base as the tying run in the ninth inning.
E&Y scored with two outs in the final inning, as the ball got away from the defenders allowing the winning runner to race home in an 8-7 thriller over Hit n Sit. Joe Barroso drove in two runs for E&Y. Joe Miceli hit a grand slam to open the scoring.
