Richardson grand slam leads Tuff Dogs
The Dogs scored eight runs in the third as Andrew Simpson hit a three-run homer and added 11 in the fourth to put this game out of reach. Richardson hit a grand slam to put an exclamation mark on the inning.
Kevin Taylor was 3-4 for the victors and team-mate Lovintz Tota also smacked a homer.
Clean-up hitter Garic Swainson was 3-4 with two home runs for Jets while Jermaine Jeffers also homered. Jets coach oach Tracey Bean was 3-4 with three RBIs.
In other men's league play, Ernst & Young hammered AF Smith 20 to 5 in a game shortened to the mercy rule. Ernst scored 14 runs in the third inning, thanks in part to three homers, in cruising to the win.
Jeff Edy (1-3), Monte Palsat (3-4), Steve Halishuk (3-4) and Dan Sullivan (2-3) all homered for Ernst.
Dan Kidd (2-4) hit a three-run shot for Smith while team-mates Troy Humphries (2-4) and Monty Wolf (2-3) also swung the bat well.
