FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14: Kent Richardson finished fourth in his age class at the Triathlon 5150 series finale in Iowa.
“Said it was good organization and a great race. My strategy worked out pretty good. I had a little bit of cramping and cringing in the legs at mile 5 and that’s where I lost the bronze medal.”
Richardson still ended up the podium and netted $200 for his efforts.
“It was unfortunate I lost third place, but they were better than me on the day.
“Hopefully, I can take that foundation and transfer it to the ITU World Championships in New Zealand in Auckland on September 22.
“This was a nice little building block for me.”
