Renegades shutdown Castlewood

A lack of hitting doomed Castlewood to fall to Renegades on Sunday night. Renegades scored twice in the first as Tracey Bean (2-3) knocked in Dean Douglas (1-2) and Sakena Wall scored on a Charles Trott single. Danny Penton (2-3) hit a solo shot for Castlewood in the first. Renegades increased their lead with three in the third with Anthony Christopher (1-3) providing the big blow with a two-run homer. They tacked on three more in the fifth on a Bean three-run shot. Castlewood pulled two back in the sixth on a Darren Green homer and one in the seventh.

White Mountain 23, Bank of Bermuda 8

Seven runs in the first and 13 in the second were more than White Mountain needed in their mercy victory over the Bank of Bermuda. Chris Larkin (4-4) had a superb night that included a grand slam homer. Team-mates Mike Mallott (2-5) and Eric Haller (4-4) also homered. Art Palmer and Barry Mah were both 3-4 for White Mountain. Joan Chang continued her MVP-like season by going 2-3 for the Bank. Khalid Pitcher (2-3) was the only other bank player to get two hits.

SVOS 16, ACE 1

Sea Venture roared out to a 12-0 lead and never looked back as they mercied ACE after five innings. Danny Cook (3-4) hit two homers to lead his charges while Dean Williams was 3-3. Deon Bell, Mark Herauf and Steven Simons were all 2-3 for Sea Venture. Heath Kihn was 2-3 for ACE while Peter Liabotis (1-3) drove in the only run.

Police 25, Killer Goldfish 13

A total of 17 runs were scored in the last inning of this contest, but the Police Enforcers were still able to lock down a victory against the Killer Goldfish. Garic Swainson had had a big night as he went 5-5 with two doubles, a triple and two homers while knocking in nine runs for Police. Earl Caisey (4-5) drove in five runs and Chris Sabean (5-5) had three doubles for Police. Goldfish made the game seem closer than it was as they scored eight runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. Matthew Durrant (2-4, HR, 4 RBI) and Adam Laing (3-4) were the big bats for Goldfish.

Endurance 11, Docksiders 3

Docksiders Tuff Dogs managed just six hits as they fell to Endurance. Clean-up hitter Ryan Outerbridge was 3-3 in the loss. Pitcher Chris Sousa took a wicked line drive off his throat, but stayed in the game.

Endurance used a six-run fifth inning to put this game away. Eric Totten (3-3), Mickey Dotzel (3-4) and Troy Dart (2-4, 3 RBI) did most of the damage for Endurance.

BISYS 15, Island Construction 14

Frances Ronan singled home Ed Wallace (3-4) to give BISYS a one-run victory over Island Construction.[[In-content Ad]]
