Quickie Lickie steam cleans Cubs for huge victory

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 28: Quickie Lickie Laundry doubled up Cubs to move 10 games closer to the lead in the Freisenbruch-Meyer Continental Bowling League.

Quickie Lickie beat Cubs 20 to 10 and leapfrogged over The Invaders into second.

Anthony Smith and Anthony Hayward bowled well with Smith taking high game honours with a 268 on his way to 648 series while Hayward rolled a 258 as he racked up a league high 713 pin fall.

Harold Minors (223 game) and Dwayne Trott (628 series) also made the honours list.

Rochelle Harvey was the top woman with a 226 game and 592 series. Marjorie Armstrong rolled a 221 on her way to a 533 series. Carolyn Welch (191) and Edna Mae Tuzo (528) also made the honours list.

Fishbowl League

Goldfish moved into a tie for first after they defeated Barracuda 3-1 and Rockfish drew with Swordfish 2-2.

Patrice Tucker and Lisa Saints led the Division One women. Tucker had a 202 scratch game and 570 scratch series while Saints had a 253 handicap game and 712 handicap series. Saints also had a 201 scratch game.

Lelina Niere was one of the top women in Division Two, She had a 191 scratch game, 235 handicap game and tied for the top scratch series with a 490 alongside Felicia Stevens and Yvonne Joseph. Stevens had the high handicap series with a  637.

William Steede swept the board in Division One men with the high scratch game (257), handicap game (277), scratch series (651) and handicap series (711). John Adams also had a good night with the second high in each of the categories (235 scratch game, 264 handicap game, 582 scratch series, and 669 handicap series).

Lucky Pitcher rolled a 201 scratch game to lead the Division Two men. He also had the high scratch series (538) and high handicap series (634).

Pitcher, along with Russell Harvey, Llew Jones and Robert Flood all tied with the high handicap game at 233.

Second Spring Seniors

Go Get It broke away from a tie with Old ‘n Kickin at the top of the league when it beat Last Minutes 3-1 and Kickin was whitewashed by Pinsplitters.

Bill Bryan had a 240 handicap game and 673 handicap series. Sandra Brangman bowled a 254 handicap game as the foundation for a 667 handicap series.
