Quickie Lickie pulls off a big win

The quickest way to gain ground on first is to beat the leader – something Quickie Lickie Laundry knows all about. The squad took down Cubs 24 to 6 and in the progress gained 18 games on first in the Freisenbruch-Meyer League. The baby bears now hold just a six game lead over the cleaners.

Patrice Tucker led the women with a 214 game. Rochelle Harvey (193) and Lillian Wilson (188) had the next best games. Tucker also had the high series with a 572 followed by Harvey (536) and Edna Mae Tuzo (535).

Sheldon Thompson and Hilton Hayward tied for the high game with a 234 while Harold Minors rolled a 218.

Hayward came out on top with a 582 series besting Troy Richardson 580 by just two pins and Minors by 11.

Mixed Majors League

Activators expanded their lead with a huge victory over Movers N Shakers while second place Gang in Blue could only split with Mix Ups.

Kathleen Christopher had a 200 on her way to a 531 series. Patrice Tucker led the league with a 204 and Josie Richardson had a 191. Joan Burgess and Grace Brito tied for the second high series with a 527.

Damien Matthews barely missed out on a perfect game with a 269. He finished with a 629 series. Vernon Daniels used his 257 game as part of his 621 series. Anthony Smith 9256) and Loderick Holder (627) also made the honours lists.

Barritt’s League

Haascobe doubled up Pin Raiders to move 17 games ahead of the pack. Willoughby Harvey topped 600 with a 607. Dean Lightbourn (583) and Jermaine DeSilva (580) also had a great night at Warwick Lanes.

Second Spring Seniors

Drifters whitewashed Last Pin to add two games to its lead as Islanders split with the Tigers.

Geraldine Lambert edged Carol Tyrell by two pins for high scratch game with a 156 and Barbara Smith was third. Lambert had a 426 series to top the series list too with Tyrell (411) and Merle Robinson (404) was third.

Noel Pearman led the men with a 194, which he turned into a 481 series. Jim Francis topped the men with a 481 series.

Llew Jones (183) and Sonny Charves (180) were also on the top three games list. Jones ended with a 428 series.

Scores: Drifters 4, Last Pin 0; Islanders 2, Tigers 2; Old N Kickin 2, Go Get It 2; Blue Angels 1, Pinsplitters 3.

Fishbowl League

Patrice Tucker wrote her name on top of another high game list with a 236. Corrine Durrant was second best with a 204 while Judy Aldred’s 202 was third.

Aldred led all women with a 744 handicap series with Tucker also topping 700 with a 706.

The men were rolling hot with Carlos Estravit (269), Gladwin Harvey (235) and Vernon Daniels (233) being the top three men in Division 1 and Carl Durrant (231) and Elvin Thomas (215) topping 200 in Division 2.

Vernon Daniels’s 696 edged Estravit by three pins for high handicap series. Durrant had a 671, which was two pins better than Jerry Koehler top top Division 2.

East End Winter League

Ten Pins knocked off Pin Snipers to move into a tie for first while Spare Collectors won all nine games to be just a half game off the pace.

Chaka DeSilva (242) and Linda Simons (182 rolled the high games.
