Pin Snipers edge Habates to keep East End lead

Top clubs Pin Snipers and Habetes faced off in the East End League with Pin Snipers winning 5-4. That allowed third place team Ten Pins to make a move as they took a 9-0 sweep of TLC.

Trailblazers also claimed a 9-0 victory while Spare Collectors beat Up-N-Coming 5-4. Fireballs beat Here We Come 6 to 3.

Troy Pitcher rolled a 235 game while Quinton Hayward led all bowlers with a 572 series. Greame Furbert (219), Edward Trott (209), Rudy Dill (204) and Tim Lodge (200) all hit the magical 200 mark.

The top female bowler was Tammy Robinson with a 194. Carolyn Welch (188) and Jennifer Butterfield (185) also rolled well. Welch had the top series with a 529, while Robinson (516) was the only other woman to top 500.

Continental Bowling League

Nifty Rollers exterminated Bermuda Pest Control 25 to 5 and increased its division lead. Second place Pinjammers also won as they beat New Hope 21 to 9.

Cubs picked up the biggest win of the night with a 26 to 4 thrashing of Pinsplitters. Other scores saw The Invaders triumph over Odd Balls 24 to 6 and Quickie Lickie laundry down Spicenix 21 to 9.

Jennifer Stovell rolled a 216 game on her way to a 589 series. Millie Francis and Tiffany Caisey both rolled 211 games. Kathy Christopher (551) and Caisey (539) also had good series.

Michael Lambe used a 227 game as the foundation for his 640 series. Jackie Miller (219) and Erwyn Bean (206) also rolled 200 games.

Fishbowl League

Cow Pollies took four points off of Porgies to close the gap on the front swimming Goldfish. The only other team to make a clean sweep this week was Tuna, who defeated Mackerel 4-0. There were no draws as Goldfish, Piranhas, Hammerheads, Marlins and Snappers all took three of four games from their opponents.

The Marlins' Patrice Tucker led all bowlers with a 225 scratch game. Peter Winsby was the top male with a 219 game. Other good games were rolled by Cathee Tumbridge (218), Quinton Mallory (217), Carlos Estravit (199), Alpheus Santucci (199), Yvonne Joseph (186) and Mark Herauf (186).

Winsby had the top handicap series with an impressive 697. Tucker (615), Janice Allen (610), Estravit (624), Mallory (624), Mike MacDonald (619) and Santucci (611) also topped 600.

Barritt's League

Southside Two moved into title contention after hammering top team PHC. Southside won 24 to 6 to move within 26 points of first. Second place Pembroke Juniors also gained on the leaders with a 19 to 11 win over Logic Rollers.

Other scores saw Buy & Sell beat Southside One 22 to 8; Young Bloods down The Old & the New 20.5 to 9.5; and Stash T extinguish the Sparks 27 to 3.

Peter Winsby continued his good week down at Warwick Lanes with a 244 game. Christopher Leverock rolled a 243 and David Cann had a 238.
