PHC drain Young Bloods

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21: If you want everyone in the league to give you respect as a potential title-holder, there’s no better way then to whitewash the opposition.

PH Club beat Young Bloods 30 to 0 to move up to third place in Barritt’s League. The points were more than double what the team had gathered in the first two weeks of action.

Pembroke Jrs slipped into first place by a game after they doused out Sparks 27 to 3.

Pin Raiders eased into second in spite of beating Team Bouchee 19.5 to 10.5.

Peter Winsby had both the high game and high series when he rolled a 242 on his way to his 602.

Ty Williams had a 255 game while Miles Smith rolled a 220. Dean Lightbourn topped 600 by one pin to take second high series honour. Delmont Tucker was third with a 593.

Mixed Majors

Fight Back and Activators kept pace with each other at the top of the league as both sides claimed 12 to 8 victories last week.

David Maycock was the bowling of the night as he rolled a near-prefect 269 on his way to a superb 721 series.

Wayne Kelly also had a good night at Warwick Lanes as used his 228 game as the foundation for his 659 series and Renalda Bean rolled a 266 and 650.

Fhia Sherlock was the top woman with a 214 and 564 while Jennifer Stovell wasn’t far behind with her 206 and 560.

Kathleen Christopher (196) and Patrice Tucker (549) also rolled well.

Continental League

Quickie Lickie Laundry pressed its way to the top of the standings in the opening week of play.

Anthony Hayward was in the zone with a high game of 264, but he also rolled a 255 and 228 on his way to a 747 series.

Mike Lambe rolled a 220 and 598 while Harold Minors (222) and Anthony Smith (580) also made the honours list.

Kathy Christopher had the high women’s game with a 212 but Patrice Tucker had the high series with a 575.

Tucker rolled a 204 game while Rochelle Harvey had a 191 game.
