The North American world Boxing middleweight champ said she couldn't stay away from the ring because boxing is in her blood.
Perozzi had considered retiring in spite of winning a 10-round unanimous decision against Roselin Morales, thanks in part to negative publicity generated by the Royal Gazette.
She's looking at a possible title fight against Asa Sandell of Sweden. Sandell, 39, is ranked ninth in the WBAN super heavyweight class. Sandell has lost her last three fights, including a five round TKO to Laila Ali and a six round split decision to Laura 'Lady Ram' Ramsey.
Sandell is fighting Kimberley Harris on October 19. Harris was supposed to be the original opponent for Perozzi when she defended her title back in February.
"She's very good. And she's like 6'1"…I'll see how she does. I still have to get some things in order. I'm not going to jump into it."
Perozzi said her next fight would mostly likely take place overseas to help her avoid local distractions.
"That way all I have to do is go away and fight."
Perozzi has resumed her training, which included taking part in last Sunday's Bank of Bermuda Triathlon.
"I am back. I'm getting the feeling again - I was hoping that it would pass, but it hasn't."
While she's still training at the Police Gym, "I've started with a trainer (Yves Paul) at the Olympic Club who's trained in boxing and kick boxing. He is really amazing. He has really inspired me. He's shown me a lot of stuff and increased my fitness level. It's getting there."
Perozzi said she's looking at the end of November or the first of December for her next fight. If she can't get one in then, she'll have to wait until 2007.[[In-content Ad]]
