Blonde bombshell Sandell is one of the glamour girls of women's boxing and at a towering 6ft 1ins with a pro record of six wins and three defeats, represents a formidable opponent.
The bout, scheduled for six two-minute rounds in Karlstad on September 15, was made possible after Swedish authorities lifted a ban a 30-year ban on boxing.
Perozzi, who revealed that she had turned down a last-minute offer to fight Kenya's Conjestina Achieng in Africa in March, said she could not wait for the showdown.
It's been almost a year since the massage therapist successfully defended her NABC Middleweight title against Roselin Morales at the Rumble on the Beach at Clearwater.
A number of fights have been suggested since then, but nothing has materialized.
And Perozzi said she was glad to finally have a contract signed and a fight to train for.
"I think it's a great experience, a great opportunity. I have no problem going to someone else's home town.
"I'm definitely going to have to knock her out to get the win, but my power has always been my strength. She's tall which suits me, because I like to fight inside.
"I've been focusing on my speed and really putting my body behind my punches. Every fight I feel I'm getting better technically and I'll be going out from round one to try and intimidate her and put some pressure on her."
Perozzi is hoping to fly in Liz Mooney as a sparring partner at some stage this summer as preparations intensify.
She's currently doing speed work in the gym with trainer Yves Paul and training for May 24.
But Camp Perozzi will be assembled around eight weeks out with the focus on the Sandell fight.
"I don't want to start intense training now and peak too soon. But I'll be working and training as if this was a ten-round bout. I've gone ten rounds before and if I train for that, then six rounds should be comfortable.
"I have been trying to stay motivated, running all the road races. Being around athletic people helps. I've been doing a lot of speed, strength and conditioning work in the gym but I'm ready for a fight."
Perozzi said she thought Sandell, who went five rounds with Laila Ali in a performance which drew praise from the legendary undefeated champ, may take her too lightly.
"I think this girl is underestimating me. I won't have been in the ring for fourteen months but I like taller opponents, I like to fight inside and I'm not intimidated by getting hit.
"I don't know how much footage she has been able to get of me, but I don't think she can give me anything that I haven't already taken and handled before."[[In-content Ad]]
