Perinchief takes two firsts in Skippy Kick

The 19th Skippy peanut Butter KICK at Pembroke Sunday School saw a slight increase in competitor numbers from last year. There was fast paced single elimination matches in both forms and fighting.

Antonio Perinchief, last year's weapons grandchampion and sparring gold medalist, took the black belt 10 to 15 soft style forms category 5-0 ahead of Marshall Stoneham and edged out Kent Bean 3-2 in weapons.

Kalea Steede, who was forms grandchampion runner-up last year, swept Natsha Mercey 5-0 in forms, but went down to Mercey 5-1 in sparring.

Scott Kennedy was advanced forms grandchampion, besting Stelio Marshall 5-0 in round one and Kent Bean in round two. Scott also took the sparring gold medal in the 16 to 17 age group by a score of 6-2 over newcomer Jeron Gunness.
