Pembroke Juniors douse Sparks

FRIDAY, NOV. 2: Pembroke Jrs doused Sparks 26 to 4 and increased its lead in the Barritt’s League.

Dean Lightbourne was on fire with a 236 game and 608 series. Lerico Somner (227) and Hilton Hayward (214) had the other high games while Dennis Trott (587) and George Ben (570) had the second and third high series.

Scores: Pin Raiders 25, Young Bloods 5; Sparks 4, Pembroke Jrs 26; Haascobe 6.5, Team Rotisserie 23.5.

Standings: 1. Pembroke Jrs 166.5-43.5; 2. Team Rotisserie 144.5-65.5; 3. Pin Raiders 119.5-90.5; 4. PH Club 102-93; 6. Haascobe 92.5-117.5; 7. Young Bloods 65.5-144.5.

Fishbowl League

Dolphins surged in the title contention with a 4-0 victory over Barracuda. Dolphins now trail leaders Rockfish by two games.

In Division One women, Both Brenda Burrows and Prudy Spriggs rolled a 163 natural game. Burrows would have the high handicap series with a 615.

In Division Two women, Gina James’ 194 edged Yvonne Joseph by three pins for high scratch game. Peggy Mello rolled a 637 to have the high handicap series.

William Steede topped the Division One men with a 259, beating Clem Lespere by just one pin. Peter Winsby had a 236.

Steede also had the high handicap series with a 753.

In Division Two men, Lucky Pitcher’s 192 was good enough to stand up as the top scratch game while Matthew Tumbridge rolled a 647 handicap series.

Perfect Storm League

X Em Out continues to roll along with a 15 to 5 triumph over 10 Pins Down.

Eliott Douglas had the high game with a 236 but missed out on a 600 series by one pin. Rudy Dill rolled a 221 game which he used as the foundation for his 602 series. Greame ‘Flash’ Furbert rolled a 223 game and 598 series.

Laurie Simons was consistent with games of 166, 168 and 178 for a 510 series. Hazel Lodge rolled a 168 game and 473 series. Carolyn Welch had the second high series for a woman with a 487 series.
