Patrice Tucker rolls 700 series

East End League

After jumping out to a 17-1 record, Spare Collectors have fallen back to within striking distance of the pack. The first place team has lost the last two weeks, with TLC slipping past them 5-4 in Week Four.

Over the past three weeks, several 200s were rolled with Dennis Trott’s 239 being the high score by a man. Trott (217), Lew Furbert (212), Derwin Smith (227), Sinclair Paynter (214), David Signor (210), Alfred Wright (212) and Chaka DeSilva (212) also rolled 200s during the past three weeks.

Maryell Jackson was one of only two women top better 200 during the past three weeks. Jackson’s 257 was actually better than all the men’s scores while Laurie Simons bowled a 204. Simons and Jackson also had 199s as did Linda Simons.

Scores (Week 4): 10th-N-Comin 6, Strike Squad 3; Trailblazers 5, Pin Snipers 4; See-Breeze Strikers 3, Here We Come 6; Fireballs 6, Ten Pins 3; TLC 5, Spare Collectors 4.

Fishbowl League

There were plenty of zeros on the scorecards last Friday as five teams blanked their opponents at Warwick Lanes.

Amberfish, Marlins, Goldfish, Cow Pollies and Tuna all picked up maximum points.

Patrice Tucker led all bowlers with a 704 scratch series while Karen Landy had her first ever 500 series.

Tucker’s 716 was the highest handicap series as well. Clem Lespere and Stephen Paul led the men with a 715.

Tucker had a 257 game, which bested Cathee Tumbridge by 55 pins for high score among women. Joan Hollis (194), Juliette Smith (192), Vernell Harvey (185) and Karen Landy (181) also made the honours list.

Paul’s 245 scratch game was high among the men. Alpheus Santucci (229), peter Winsby (224), Joseph Benevides (212), Hanny Consolacion (211) and Brian Botelho also etched their names onto the honours list.

Barritt’s League

Haascobe took over first place thanks to a 25 to 5 Bye week win. The team overtook Pembroke Jrs who beat Young Bloods 20 to 10.

Gilbert DeCosta rolled a 605 high series in spite of not rolling one of the top four games. George Ben had the second high series with a 599, thanks to his 223 game. LeVinc Samuels used his 232 game as the foundation for his 591 series.

Kevin Swan rolled the high game with a 233. Alvin Thomas had a 223.
