No shock as P&M beat Panthers

A Division softball

P&M 18, PCS Panthers 6

Panthers held a 3-1 lead after one inning but a lack of hitting doomed them against P&M. The team would get only five more hits for the rest of the game, including homers by Kevin McCortty (2-3) and Tracey Bean (1-3) Tiffany Swan was 2-3 for Panthers. P&M had no such problems in getting hits as Terrence Corday (4-4), Maclaren Lowe (3-4), Jonathan Tower (3-4, HR), Jon Gazzard (2-3), Curtis McGuiness (3-4, HR) and Rose Saunders (3-4) all made Panthers pay.

C Division

Argus 13, Olympia Capital 4

Tory Richard was 4-4, including a homer, in leading Argus to an easy win over Olympia. Dan Christie was 3-3 for the winners while Scott Shannon was 3-4 for Olympia.

TPC Tees 21, BF&M 14

TPC jumped out to an 11 to 2 lead and never looked back as Shervine Jennings hit a three-run blast in the first inning. Jahmal Lottimore one-upped his team-mate in the third with a grand slam.

Donny Moniz was 5-5 for BF&M while Kristina Soares was 3-3, including a triple. Wendell Smith homered for BF&M.

BF&M Sharks 15, TPC Tees 9

Six runs in the third and four in the fourth helped BF&M to the win over TPC. Donny Moniz (2-4, HR) and Ryan Marten was 3-4 in the win. Mike Sooper, John Burch, Wendy Smith and Dan Brier all had two hits. Jermaine Davis and D. Lottimore were both 3-4 for TPC while Allan Burch was 2-3 for TPC.

Aspen 4, Arctic Airconditioning 3

Aspen scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth as they squeaked out this win against Arctic. Nigel Deane was 3-3 for the losers.

Arctic Airconditioning 7, JLT Park 4

JLT Park out hit Arctic 14 to 12, but lost the war as walks and poor fielding caused them to stumble. Arctic plated two runners in the second thanks to walks and scored three unearned runs. Nigel Dean (3-4) and Miles Atkins (2-3) carried the big bats for the winners. Patrick Kenathan (4-4) and Aaron Tilley (3-3) were both perfect at the plate for JLT.[[In-content Ad]]
