Nisbett aims to be the mane man at World Equestrian Games
Patrick Nisbett hopes to rein in a victory at the Alltech FEI 2010 World Equestrian Games in October.
He is the first Bermudian showjumper to qualify for the prestigious event, to be held in Lexington, Kentucky. Nisbett secured a qualification for WEG with his mare Antille 8 in July 2009.
This spring he qualified a second horse, Cantaro 32, which allows him to pick the mount he believes will perform best at WEG.
Nisbitt has placed in the top 10 an impressive 29 times since February, competing against the best in Europe, and jumped 44 clear rounds in this period.
He placed first in a grand prix and a FEI world cup qualifier in Slovenia in June 2010.
The Bermuda Equestrian Foundation is fundraising for Nisbett’s trip to the WEG.
