Workout and nutrition tips
By personal trainer Jenille Deveson-Smith:
- Don’t jump into the deep end
- Start with a walk/job combo
- Push beyond your comfort zone
- Do lunges and squats to tone legs and glutes
- Work out at National Stadium
- There are no shortcuts
- Eat more protein
- Eat lots of veggies
- Cut out sugar
- Drink LOTS of water
- Cut carbs at lunchtime
- Only eat complex carbs including brown rice, oatmeal, whole grain pasta.
Make-up tips
By make-up artists at MAC:
- A bright pink lipstick in your shade of colour
- Natural sun-kissed skin bronzed glow
- A nice, fresh looking lip gloss, preferably something pink
- Gel based eye colours
Nail trends
By Gillian Edwards of Gillian’s Spa:
- Shatter nail polish from OPI which is a black coat painted over your favourite colour. A the black polish dries, it creates a crackled effect
- Bright pink nail polish is trendy in a variety of shades, red is out
- Very pale colours from OPI’s Pirates of the Caribbean line which goes on very thing and creates a mirror-like look
- Feminine colours are in style for summer.
