Logie: it was time for me to move on
Logie, who will not renew his contract in September, feels he has taken the team as far as he can.
"It's time to give somebody else an opportunity," he said.
The Trinidadian, who made history as the first coach to take Bermuda to the World Cup, decided to move on after failing to repeat the feat at the recent qualifying tournament in South Africa.
Logie had become increasingly frustrated with the attitude and approach of some of the players, speaking out about his concerns on several occasions.
And, though he did not wish to elaborate on those concerns this week, his decision to walk away came as no surprise.
Reflecting on his four-year career in Bermuda, Logie said he had achieved some, but not all, of his objectives.
"We talked about qualifying for the World Cup which we did. We talked about being the best in the Americas, which we achieved when we won the Americas tournament.
"We talked about qualifying for the Under 19 World Cup, which we did."
But he conceded there had been some goals that were not met.
"We also talked about improving the standard of cricket across the island, getting the senior players going back to the clubs and passing on what they had learned at international level.
"That is taking a bit more time and we still have some of the same issues there.
"We also made it clear that we would like to be the best team in the Associates and that dream has not been realized.
"There's plenty of reasons for that which have been well documented. It's no secret. These things have been said over and over."
Logie will stay in the role until September.
