Lister, Butterfield and Furbert let go
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1: Replacements for two Government ministers and a senator axed by Premier Paula Cox are likely to be announced tomorrow.
PLP heavyweight Terry Lister was on Monday fired from his Cabinet job as Minister of Transport, while Estates Minister Neletha Butterfield, replaced as a candidate by Senator David Burt in Pembroke West Central, also got the chop. ZBM first reported the changes on Monday
Senator Laverne Furbert, Education spokesman in the Upper House, was also told her services were no longer required.
A Government insider said that all three had been asked to go as Premier Paula Cox prepares her team for the next General Election.
Neither of the two ministers could be contacted for comment Tuesday. Ms Furbert declined comment.
