Let's get it on!
Perozzi will be looking to successfully defend her North American Boxing Council middleweight title for the second time, having defeated over-matched Martha 'Sexy Mex' Deitchman in February of this year.
The champ will face a much tougher opponent in Morales, who is ranked third in the World Boxing Council and seventh in the World Boxing Association.
Added in the mix is that the pair have one common opponent - Monica Nunez. Perozzi suffered a four-round unanimous decision loss eight months after Morales put a blight on Nunez' record in a split decision.
Morales boxing promoter Willie Edwards feels this gives his girl an advantage.
"It's going to be a good fight, but I think Roselin is going to win in the end. She's a very tough fighter. Both girls fought Nunez, but Morales came out on top and Perozzi didn't win her fight against her. Morales stopped Monica Nunez, who is a tough fighter."
Morales said that having a common opponent would give her an idea of how good Perozzi is.
"I'm sure she's good in her own way, but I won't under estimate her as well. You never know what someone's going to bring to the table."
Of bigger concern to Morales is the length of the fight - It's scheduled to go 10 rounds. That's four rounds longer than she's every boxed before. She won a unanimous 58-56 decision over Veronica Rucker in May of 2005. Previous to that she's only gone four rounds twice.
"This is going to be tough," Morales said. "I had to build the tolerance for the extra couple of rounds. Six rounds was tough enough as it was, just trying to pace myself, but 10 rounds is a lot longer.'
The length will also be a challenge for Perozzi whose last fight went eight rounds and gave a six round thrashing over previously unbeaten Scroller Carrington.
Perozzi told the Bermuda Sun last week that she was building up her stamina to go the distance, but "I'd love a knockout."
Morales refused to make a prediction on the outcome because "a fight is a fight. You can't predict anything. You have to go with the flow. Look at Roy Jones jnr. He was undefeated and there's always somebody out there better than you so you always have to apply what you're taught. You never know what's going to happen in a fight."
Both Morales are Edwards are nonplused that she hasn't fought outside of Pennsylvania before.
Morales said: "It's not going to make all that much of a difference. A show is a show and a boxing match is a boxing match."
Edwards added: "It will be different for her, but she's a consummate professional. From her amateur background she's used to it (fighting outside of the state), so she'll adjust.
Perozzi's last sparring session was Wednesday. Yesterday she did some shadow boxing in a light workout.
She said she'll probably check into the Fairmont Hamilton Princess tonight so she can get away from the distractions and really zero in mentally on what she has to do Saturday night.
"I like to get way from home and all these distractions. I'll have a good meal and a good night's sleep. Saturday I'll get my hair braided. I'll try to stay loose as I'm waiting. I won't do too much - it will be a quiet day.
"Being distracted will work against me so I'm definitely looking to get away from them."
There will be an afterparty following the fights.[[In-content Ad]]
