Kings Pins increase lead
Strikers took all four games from Spinners while Sunset folded the Royal Gazette 3-1. In the league's other match, BTC and Braves fought to a 2-2 draw.
Justin Robinson showed no rust from the Christmas layover with a 219 game. Christopher Smith rolled a 211 while Robert 'Dixie' Symonds edged over 200 with a 201.
The top woman was Veney Sims with a 188. Doreen Smith had a 184 and Sharon Gibson rolled a 176. Anne Marie Dove led all women with a 631 handicap series and Lynne Cann had a 629. Shayna Hendrickson rounded out the top three with a 609.
Robinson added a 679 series to his superb scratch game. Symonds totalled 628 pins while Smith had a 587 series.

Fishbowl League
Goldfish were able to reel Marlins back in and now trail by one game in last Friday's action in the Fishbowl League at Warwick Lanes.
Goldfish beat Flying Fish 3-1 while Barracuda grilled Marlins 3-1.
Piranhas and Wahoo were able to pick up maximum points over Cow Pollies and Mackerel, respectively.
Other scores saw Hammerhead and Porgies draw while Hinds defeated Dolphins 3-1; and Tuna beat Snappers 3-1.
Joanie Harper's 213 game topped all women, but Sharon Miller was also on ger game with a 208. Juliette Smith had a 174 while Cathee Tumbridge rolled a 170. Harper also had a 607 series while Smith missed out by one pin of making 600. Janice Mello had a 582.
Richard Zuill was outstanding with a 265 game. Carlos Estravit had a 212 while Brian Botelho (206) and David Mello (201) also topped 200. High handicap honours went to Zuill (660) but Estravit (658) almost nipped him. Tony Vibal had a 645.

East End Winter League
The New Year didn't start off on good footing for Habetes and Ten Pins. Both teams suffered 9-0 drubbings to open up the second half campaign. Habetes lost to top club Pin Snipers while Ten Pins fell to Spare Collectors.
Other scores saw Fireballs burn Up-N-Coming 6-3; Trailblazers slip past TLC 5-4; and Here We Come beat See-Breeze Strikers 5-4.
Graeme 'Flash' Furbert rolled a 236 game and 583 series while Tammy Robinson had a 211 game and Lind Simons rolled a 476 series.
