Johnson made CEO of Cap G Investments
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6: John Johnson was today named as the president and CEO of Capital G Investments Limited and Head of Wealth Management of Capital G Bank Limited.
Mr Johnson’s role is effective from June 1.
He was the interim president and CEO from November 2011, taking over from Joel Schaefer who now serves on the board of directors of the company.
In addition to these responsibilities, Mr Johnson will continue as interim Chief Investment Officer of Capital G Bank and will continue to serve on its Asset and Liability Committee.
He first joined Capital G Investments in 2009 as Chief Operating Officer, working closely with Joel Schaefer, to accelerate growth efforts and lay the framework for our wealth management business.
Through a number of strategic acquisitions and organic growth total assets have more than doubled during this period.
Mr Johnson said: “I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in the region and how Capital G is positioned.
“It is our people and their commitment to our clients which drives our business momentum.
“Most recently with the launch of our Institutional and Captive Solutions business we have experienced a significant inflow of interest as firms seek alternatives which are designed specifically to their individual needs and risk management requirements.”
Mr Johnson is Bermudians and is a seasoned investment executive with expertise ranging from retail distribution, asset management & operations.
He has held progressively senior level positions at leading global firms such as HSBC Private Bank, ScotiaMcleod & WP Stewart.
