Softball
The Commercial Softball League team registration deadline is today.
The league is accepting applications for the Men’s, Coed and 5 n 5 divisions.
For people wishing to enter a team, please call Danny Cook at 292-0334 or e-mail him at [email protected].
One rule change was the various leagues would now play on designated nights rather than rotating as it had been in previous seasons.
The home run rule was also changed at the AGM held last week. Each team will now be allowed one home run per inning and one out of the park single per inning. All subsequent balls hit out of the park will result in an out. If a woman hits the first OOP homerun it will count as the team’s home run. However, after the team has hit their allowed OOP homerun, all subsequent homeruns by a woman will count as a homer. The season is expected to start February 6.
