It's a free-for-all as six teams vie for league crown

As the season winds down, six teams still have a chance to win the title in the Mixed Majors League. Minmax Forwarders remains in the driver's seat with a 15 to 5 victory over Troublemakers.

Patrice Tucker rolled a 246 game and 652 series to best all the rest of the women. Pat price had a 207 game, which was the basis for her 556 series while Kathy Christopher turned her 207 into a 575 series. Susanne Bradshaw (209) also bowled well.

Robert Dill was close to perfection with a 278, He ended up with a solid 633 on the night. Jermaine DeSilva (237), Lucky Pitcher (234) Kelvin Burt (596) and Philip Francis (592) all gave good accounts of themselves.

Armadillo Ladies Classic

Classy Ladies needed a big win over Upstarts, and they got just that, pulling out a 15 to 5 triumph to close the gap at the top. The Ladies now trail Upstarts by 18 games as the season heads into the home stretch.

Shirly Tuzo and June Dill were both on fire. Tuzo had a 246 game and 609 series while Dill countered with a 229 game and 628 series. Lynn Showers (213) and Patrice Tucker (601) were also on the honours list.

Scores: Hot Tamales 7, Changes 13; Pacesetters 17, Strike Zone 3; Upstarts 5, Classy Ladies 15. Only scores available.

Barritt's League

Time is running out for Pembroke Jrs to catch PH Club for the league title. Juniors picked up four games this past week, but still trail by 18.

Dean Lightbourn rolled a 235 on his way to a 643 while Gladwin Harvey had a 223 as a part of his 574 series. Other good scores were rolled by Antoine Jones (234), Hilton Hayward (223) and Gladwin Harvey (574).
