Ink Spots continue their winning ways

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21: The Ink Spots forced their way to the top of the Wednesday Night Mixed Bowling League with a 4 to 0 whitewash of We’ve Decided.

Maxwell Hassell had the high scratch game with a 227, edging E. Eugene Minors by five pins. Kevin Sampson had a 216.

Barbara Robinson had the women’s high scratch game with a 189 followed by Melanie Burrows (173) and Carla Clarke (166).

Shane Williams had the high handicap series with a 719 followed by Hassell (695) and Minors (657).

Robinson topped all women with her 674 handicap series. Paula Georges barely missed out on the top honour with a 667. Donnamae Masters had a 638.

Second Spring Seniors

Old ‘n Kickin are the only undefeated team left after two weeks of play. Old ‘n Kickin defeated Drifters 4-0 in play this week at Warwick Lanes.

Leon Smith had a 181 scratch game to lead all bowlers. Gladwin Robinson had the men’s second high game with a 170 while McNeil Simmons rolled a 165.

Judith Woolf’s 173 was the high scratch game among women. Rosalie Best had a  171 game while June Bean rolled a 152.

Sandra Brangman took high handicap series honours with a 705. Janice Warner and Judith Warner both had 648s.

Leon Smith was the top man with a 688 handicap series. Norman Dunstan rolled a 629 and Gladwin Robison had a 621 to take second and third on the honours list.

Perfect Storm League

Pin Snipers managed to hold on to the league lead with a 13 to 4 victory over Yeah 4 Us. Both the Zone Team and Power Play closed the gap with bigger wins.

Sidaki Tavares used his 224 game on his way to a 600 series. Wesley Robinson had the high game with a 247 while Allan Raynor rolled a 224.

Laurie Simons rolled a 205 and 185 as she put up a 539 series. Prinzine Bailey had a 165 as the foundation for her 447 series. Glo Hayward (434 series) and Miriam Caisey (159) also made the honours list.

Elliott Douglas’ 592 was the second high series for the men while Donald Dane also bowled well with his 571.
