WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 29, 5:15PM UPDATE: Most ferry services remain suspended today as industrial action continues.

The Paget/Warwick commuter service is running. But all other routes are out of service.

In a short press release the Department of Marine and Ports said ferry operators had suspended the service following union discussions on Tuesday.

Government gave no information on the reasons for the strike.

Bermuda Industrial Union chief Chris Furbert did not return calls from the Bermuda Sun today.

A statement at 5pm today said: “There has been no official word on the when the remaining commuter routes will resume service.

“However Marine and Ports advised that it will continue to keep the public appraised regarding further developments with the ferry service.”
