HWP car sale hailed a 'great success'
TUESDAY, FEB. 21: Customers were able to get great deals on cars at the HWP sale over the weekend.
The sale took place next to Bull’s Head Car Wash at HWP’s warehouse.
The purpose was to get rid of older cars to make way for newer models.
Tony Martin, vice president of auto sales, said customers walked away very happy with the deals.
“It went pretty good,” he said.
“We had a great response.”
Asked how many cars were sold, Mr Martin said he doesn’t have a tally of the vehicles.
“It was a great success and we were able to help customers get rid of old cars and there were quite a deal of replacements.
“I think most clients were happy with the discounts that we offered.”
Speaking on discounts, Mr Martin said: “Some cars we offered as high discounts as $4,000 off.
“Some cars we went from $750 to $1,000 off.
“It depended on the model and the age of the inventory.
“We are very pleased with the results.”
Asked if there could be a similar sale in the future, Mr Martin said: “I couldn’t tell you when.
“It was the year end inventory to help us move some of the older models as we have newer models coming in every month.
“It was exactly what it was meant to be.
“It also did help people who are price conscious.
“They were looking for a deal and they were able to get a deal.”
The sale was held from 9am to 4pm.
