Husband and wife duo provide Double Trouble for Strikers
Commercial League
Husband and wife duo Kenny and Marie Ford were double trouble for Strikers as they lived up to their team’s name in recording some of the league’s high scores.
Double Trouble beat Strikers 3-1.
Kenny Ford had a league high 215 game and was the top man with a 653 handicap series.
Marie Ford’s 641 series was second high among the women.
One of the bright spots for Strikers was Zina Jones, who had the women’s high scratch game with a 197 and the high handicap series with a 662.
Albert Gordon and Junior Campbell both missed the 200 mark by one pin.
Terrylyn Jones rolled a 189 while Doreen Smith had a 176 game.

Second Spring Seniors
Gladwin Robinson rolled a 223 scratch game to lead all bowlers in the Second Spring Seniors. Robinson would end up with a 687 handicap series.
Bill Bryan missed a 200 by two pins while Llew Jones rolled a 191.
Bryan would edge Jones for second on the handicap series list by one pin when he bowled a 669.
Amanda Broadley had the high game by a woman with a 190, but Fred Black had the high handicap series with a 663.
June Bean’s 171 edged Black by a pin for second high game honours.
Bean was also second on the high handicap series list with a 659 while Broadley was third with a 640.

Cubs stumbled last week, but it didn’t matter as they still enjoy a 50-game advantage. New Hope beat Cubs 17 to 13, but second place Spicenix also lost so Cubs increased their league lead.
Anthony Hayward rolled a 248 game on his way to a league high 665 series. Wassy Smith’s 255 was the high game and he used that to roll a 595 series. Bruce Benevides converted his 248 game into a 596 series.
Rochelle Harvey was the top woman as she dominated the high game and series scores with a 214 and 547.
Lillian Wilson reached the 200 mark with her 202 while Ruth Lewis was just three pins shy of a 200.
Peaches Perinchief (530) and Joan Thompson (513) made the high series list.

Fishbowl League
Goldfish gained on leaders Amberfish with a 3-1 triumph over Tuna.
The victory puts them three games off the pace in the Fishbowl League.
Lynn Cann was on fire with a 223 game. Rita Smith was the only other woman above 200 when she rolled a 209. Lelina Niere had a 192 while both Karen Simmons and Felicia Stevens had a 190.
Carlos Estravit barely missed out on a perfect game as he rolled a 268. Albert Botelho had a 237. Some of the other 200s included: Brian Botelho (229) and Quinton Mallory (228).
Mallory finished with a 721 handicap series to top all bowlers.
Estravit’s 710 was good enough for second while Russell Harvey led the Division 2 men with a 654.
Both Lynn Cann and Rita Smith tied for the women’s high handicap series with 704s.
Karen Simmons 651 was second among the Division One women while Lelina Niere had the honour for the Division Two women with a 647.

With 10 weeks left to go in the season, Haascobe is continuing to put distance between its self and Pembroke Jrs and PH Club.
It picked up 27 points in a victory over the Bye Team.
Dean Lightbourn had the high series with a 579 on the back of his 218 game.
Elsworth Bean converted his 213 game into a 556 series.
Delmont Tucker had the high game with a 233 and Oscar Andrade had a 567 series.
