Hayward's in the money at Atlanta Seniors Classic

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14: Quinton Hayward is still knocking them down in style.

Hayward was part of the Bermuda’s Best team which finished third in the 10th Annual Atlanta Seniors Classic.

Hayward finished first in the all events handicap and was third in the singles. Hayward had a series total of 748 in the to earn the third place prize.

He showed his overall consistency by rolling a 2,189 total in the all events handicap.

Wilford Furbert, Elvin Thomas and Greame ‘Flash’ Furbert combined with Hayward to take third in the team standings.

Barritt’s League

Pin Raiders are the surprise early leaders with a 51-9 record. The team beat Young Bloods 27 to 3 last week to move 8.5 games ahead of perennial favourites Pembroke Jrs.

Pin Raiders had the third high team series of 2,592. The top series went to PH Club’s 2,746 while Pembroke Jrs rolled a 2,705.

Mixed Majors

Activators, Untouchables, Rebels and Fight Back went to the top of the standings on the opening week of play. All four teams won 16 to 4.

Patrice Tucker rolled a 213 game on her way to a 549 series while Jennifer Stovell parlayed her 206 game into a 541 series. Frances Trott (190) and Helena Rawlins (498) also made the women’s honours’ lists.

Matthew Viney was close to perfection with his 279. He also rolled a league high 670.

Jermaine DeSilva rolled a 244 game as part of his 657 series. Robert Dill (235) and Anthony Smith (662) also made the men’s honours’ lists.
