FRIDAY, JANUARY 25: The Bermuda Cricket Board’s free programme for young children returns in March.
The Pee Wee 'Have-a-go' Cricket Programme is for children ages 5 - 7 will take place at Berkeley Institute Gym every Saturday in March, starting on March 2 and finishing on March 30, 2012.
The sessions will run as follows: five-year olds from 2pm to 3pm and six-to-seven-year-olds from 3:15pm to 4:15pm
A spokesperson for the BCB said: “During the session, the players will be introduced to the basics of cricket with the main aim of having fun. Utilising the "Have-a-go" Cricket equipment, coaches will work with the players on learning the basics skills of catching, bowling and batting with the aim of playing a game in the last session. The emphasis of "Have-a-go" Cricket is on participation and enjoyment.
“On the last day parents and their children will participate in a parent/child game. This will be used to further strengthen the relationship between parent and child through cricket.”

There will be drink and snacks for sale at the venue, proceeds go to the BCB National Academy 2013 UK Tour.
Dress and equipment: Please ensure players come in comfortable clothes and sneakers for running around.
