Haascobe makes The Old & The New all black and blue


Bottom club Haascobe showed there's still a lot of fight left in them as they rolled past The Old & The New 19 to 11 in the Barritt's League at Warwick Lanes.

All three top teams - Pembroke Jrs. PH Club and Team Bouchee - won by large margins.

Hilton Hayward led all bowlers with a 233 game, while Dean Lightbourn (223) and George Ben (218) had the second and third high scores.

Lightbourn had the high series with a 650 while Hayward and Gerrad Regis both had a 593.

Commercial League

Maurice Lowe had the high game as he rolled a 231. Also topping 200 were Alvin Outerbridge 215 and Chris Leverock 212. Terrlyn Jones' 196 was good enough to lead the ladies. Geraldine Harris 176 and Donna Johnson 173 had the second and third high games.

Lionel Raynor had the high handicap series with a 668, bettering Maurice Lowe by two pins. Quinton Perinchief was third with a 641.

Geraldine Harris led the ladies with the high handicap series as well with a 631. Veney Sims was second with a 611 and Malikah Symonds was third with a 608.

Spicenix made up some of the ground they lost the previous week to Pinjammers with a 27 to 3 triumph over The Invaders.

Joshua Bento had a 230 game and a 568 series while Stephen Paul had a 221 and a 582 to take high series honours. Third high score went to Bruce Benevides 211 while Clement Lespere had the third high series at 548.

Marjorie Armstrong and Pat Price battled for high honours amongst the women. Armstong had the high game with a 207 and second high series at 531 while Price had the high series with a 545 and second high game at 202. Jennifer Stovell (188) and Kenneisha Simmons (523) also made the honours list.
