Gilbert Institute's PTA to host Health Expo
Whether you have serious health concerns or merely want to make some positive changes to your lifestyle in the new year, a host of health professionals will be on hand to talk to at a free expo next week.
The Gilbert Institute’s Parent Teacher Association is reintroducing its Health Expo in January this year as the public often want to get healthy at this time.
The full health spectrum will be covered. There will be representatives from The Bermuda International Eye Institute, asthma charity Open Airways, The Department of Health, drug prevention group PRIDE, Bermuda Hearing Services, The Bermuda Diabetes Association and autism charity Tomorrow’s Voices.
The hospital will be on hand to identify blood types, the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre will be doing blood pressure tests and Dawn Berry will be doing fat measurements.
Ruth Moran will be doing a special presentation on getting a good night’s sleep and Dunkley’s will be giving away healthy drinks and snacks. Admission is free and there is a draw for the door prize. Parking is at the Bermuda College.
