Fight Back mixes it up in battle for first in Mixed Majors

Mixed Majors League

Minimax Forwarders shipped Activators into a tie for first when they beat them 14.5 to 5.5. This allowed Fight Back to share the top spot with Activators after downing Mix Ups 16.5 to 3.5.

George Ben had a 603 series thanks to a 215 game. David Maycock rolled a 237 to lead all bowlers. Carl Reid’s 225, 586 was a steady second on both the games and series list. Damien Matthews had a 571 series.

Patrice Tucker’s fine form continued with a 215 game and 580 series. Roslyn Simmons used a 202 game as the foundation for her 559 series. Marie Richardson (209) and Ronette Burgess (576) also claimed honours.

Commercial League

The two top teams battled and when the last pin had been knocked over, nothing had changed — BTC still led King Pins by two games.

Wayne Raynor rolled a 221 game to lead all bowlers. Kenny Ford was just three pins behind while John Adams bowled a 210 game.

Terrlyn Jones was the top woman with a 170 with Corrine Durrant (163) and Marilyn Simmons (162) close behind.

Simmons had the high handicap series with a 594, besting Cymone Sims by five pins. Durrant had a 575 to make the honours list.

Adams had a 648 handicap series to place first overall on the night with Alvin Outerbridge mustering up a 630 and Raynor’s 622 also being list-worthy.

Continental League

Pinsplitters gained nine games on leaders Cubs with a 24 to 6 victory over Cubs.

Gina Coddrington rolled a 206 game on her way to a 556 series. Patrice Tucker used her 214 high game to roll into a 555 series. Leeann Bean (202) and Rise Bean (524) also excelled.

Skeets Zuill had a league high 623 series, thanks in part to a 221 game. Anthony Hayward had the high game with a 234 while Gregory Simons (223), Wayne Kelly (576) and Clyde Burgess (569) all penned their names onto the honours list.

Scores: Nifty Rollers 20, The Invaders 10; New Hope 16, Quickie Lickie Laundry 14; Spicenix 20, Bermuda Pest Control 10; Pinsplitters 24, Odd Balls 6; Cubs 15.5, Pinjammers 14.5.

Barritt’s League

Pembroke Jrs climbed into first with a 25 to 5 drubbing of Team Bouchee. Haascobe dropped into second as Sparks took 12 points off them.

It was tight competition for top honours as Anthony Zuill edged Delmont Tucker by a pin with a 222 game. LeVinc Samuels snagged high series with a 609, two better than Tucker and eight more than Zuill. Samuels had a 214 game as part of his high series.
