Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein of Jordan made a quick visit to Bermuda on Wednesday to meet with the Board members of the Bermuda Equestrian Federation (BEF).
Princess Haya is the president of the FEI.
The purpose of her visit was a fact finding mission to gain some insight on the needs of the development countries that make up the Group IV contingent of the FEI of which Bermuda is a member.
Michael Cherry, president of the BEF, said: "it was a productive meeting and HRH was impressed with the BEF programmes."
Board director and public relations officer McKeisha Smith said: "Princess Haya was genuinely interested in the ideas proposed and she will be looking to make some of these recommendations a reality after she meets with our neighbours to the south for their input."
Princess Haya concluded her day with a picturesque lunch at Cafe Lido's waterside with a few of the BEF Directors.
She was headed for Jamaica followed by Cayman, Antigua, Barbados and Trinidad. n
