Duffy, Butterfield win Triathletes of the Year

There was little surprise in Flora Duffy and Tyler Butterfield winning Elite Triathletes of the Year as they both medaled at the CAC Games.

Duffy, the Bermuda Sun’s Female Sports Personality of the Year, won a silver in the women’s triathlon while Butterfield brought home the bronze.

Ryan Gunn and Karen Smith were selected local Triathletes of the Year.

The Bermuda Triathlon Association held its annual awards dinner on Saturday, January 29 at the Fairmont Southampton.

Kamryn Minors and Nico Barclay were selected Junior Triathletes of the Year while Kristyn Tobey and Travis Cooper were the Most Improved Triathletes.

Catherine Mello and Tim Goodyer were the Best New Triathletes.

Ian Pilgrim walked off with the Club person of the Year while Andrew Davis was recognized with the Long Service Award.
