Dolphins catch Cow Pollies

Bottom club Dolphins, struggling with Nelson Arruda sidelined, pulled off an upset with a 4-0 sweep of Cow Pollies. Andre Trott helped lead the team with a 218. The victory by Dolphins puts them within striking distance from getting off the bottom of the table.

At the other end of the standings, Snappers moved into first when they blanked Jellyfish. That triumph coupled with a Piranhas 3-1 loss to Mackerel, gave Snappers a half game lead in the Fishbowl League.

Wahoo took all four points off of Barracuda in the league's other blowout. Others scores saw Orca beat Hinds 3-1; Marlins beat Goldfish 3-1 and Porgies grabbed three points from Tuna.

Patrice Tucker rolled a 214 to lead all women. Malikah Symonds barely missed a 200 with a 191 while Marj Correia and Juliette Smith bowled rolled 189s. Tucker also led all women with a 652 handicap series. Correia was second with a 638 while Paula Georges (605) and Sharon Miller also topped 600.

Clem Lespere bowled them over with a 257 scratch game. There were plenty of 200s to go around as Gladwin Harvey (234), Richard Zuill (210) and Joseph Benevides also achieved that mark.

Nageeb Marouf edged over the 700 series mark with a 701. Other high series scores were rolled by Lucky Pitcher (666), Lespere (663), Trott (647) and William Steede (645).

Commercial League

King Pins toppled BTC from the top of the standings with a 3-1 win over Double Trouble. That combined with BTC's 3-1 loss to Braves, gave King Pins a one-game advantage in the Commercial League tables.

Do It Best moved into a tie for second by taking all four points of all Sweet Life. Other scores saw Sunset print a 3-1 win over the Royal Gazette and Spinners snag four from Strikers.

Shirieka Shakir rolled a 220 game on her way to a 614 handicap series. Sharon DeShields continued her good form with a 617 series. Kristal Davis had a 185 game as a foundation for her 616 series. Kennelyn Smith also bowled well with a 187 game.

Kenneth Ford and Alvin Outerbridge tied for the high men's score with a 224. Henry Mabaylan was the only other man above a 200 with a 202. Troy Darrell barely missed the mark with a 199. Christopher Smith had the high handicap series with a 635. Ford was second with a 619 while Robert Symonds was third with a 605.
