Vasco too much for Boat Club

Vasco #2 smashed Spanish Point Boat Club # 1 in darts action last week.

SPBC led the night off with a great victory in the first game of the 1001. They were trailing by 510 points, but had a great comeback.

Vasco came back to win the next eight games to take the match eight to one.

Other results saw Docksiders beat Sandys Boat Club 7 to 2; St George’s Dinghy Club slipped past BPSU 5 to 4; and SPBC Guests were blanked by Vasco #1 9 to 0.

SPBC #2 had a bye.

Snooker

The last Miller Handicap Challenge Snooker Tournament leading up to the holidays will be held this Sunday, December 16 at St George’s Dinghy Club and Royal Artillery Association.

Sign up is at St. George’s Dinghy Club at 10am.

Ming wins honour

Elmira College’s Tre Ming was selected to the NSCAA All-East Region Third Team.

Ming, the Empire 8 Rookie of the Year.

He led the team with seven assists and had four goals.

Pony racing

The next round of Harness pony racing will take place at noon on Sunday, December 16 at the National Equestrian Centre.

Carifta swimming

The 2013 Carifta meet is scheduled to take place From March 30 to April 3 in Kingston, Jamaica.

A release on Wednesday said the event will take place in an eight lane, 50 metre pool with a 25 metre warm up pool available to the competitors.

Mountain bikes

The next race in the Tokio Millennium Youth Series is scheduled for Saturday, January 5 at the Arboretum at 4pm.
